For the yellow pukka curry, create a paste from one onion, the garlic, ginger, chili and the spices by blending everything together finely with a blender.

Cut the onion and the rest of the vegetables into rough pieces and fry them in a pan with olive oil. After about 10 minutes, add the spicy and intense smelling paste and sauté for another 10 minutes. Pour in the boiling water. Strain and add the chickpeas and season everything with tomato paste, salt and pepper. Let the dish simmer for another 20 minutes. Season to taste and serve the yellow pukka curry with a lemon wedge and skim milk yogurt.
