For the ginger tea, bring the water to a boil.

Meanwhile, carefully peel the ginger and cut it into slices as thin as possible. Add the ginger to the boiling water and steep (or simmer very gently) for at least ten minutes.

After the ginger tea has steeped sufficiently, remove from the heat. Add the lemon juice and sweeten to taste.

Enjoy as hot as possible.
