For crispy baked bananas, preheat the oven to 200 °C top and bottom heat. Peel banana, divide into 4 equal pieces and sprinkle with lemon juice.

Brush the filo pastry sheets with canola oil and lay them twisted on top of each other. Cut the pastry sheet into 4 squares of approximately equal size.

Roll the banana pieces in the grated walnuts and place one piece in the center of each square. Fold the side edges over and place the packets on a sheet of baking paper.

Brush with the remaining oil and place a small mound of granulated sugar on each. Bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Crispy baked bananas are best served still warm with ice cream , or just like that with coffee.
