Peel the onions and cut into small cubes.

Rinse the parsley under cold running water, toss dry and chop finely.

Mix the minced meat with the eggs and the finely chopped onion. Add the parsley and green pepper and knead into the meat mixture.

Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Cut half of the cheese slices into small cubes and knead them into the meat mixture.

Form 4 meat loaves. Fry in hot fat for about 5-6 minutes on each side.

Then place 1 slice of cheese on each meat loaf, cover and let it melt for about 2 minutes.

Serve with toasted white bread and a hearty salad of red beans, peppers and hominy. A cool Pils as a drink also.
