Try this delicious cake recipe:
Knead the sifted flour with the light butter, egg yolks, sugar, salt and water. Wrap the dough in aluminum foil and let it rest in the refrigerator for 120 minutes. Peel the apples, cut them into quarters and remove the cores.
Score the apple quarters evenly lengthwise and brush with the juice of one lemon.
Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 4 mm and line a cake springform pan (24-26 cm) with it. Prick the bottom a few times with a fork and cover with apple quarters.
Bake the cake on the second rack from the bottom for 25 minutes. Beat the sugar with the eggs until creamy and add the whipped cream and vanilla.
Pour the egg mixture over the half-baked cake and bake for another 20-30 minutes.
Allow the cake to cool a little in the pan. Place on a cooling rack to cool completely.
