For the bread, cut the bread into thin slices and pour milk over them. Leave to stand for a while.
Mix the eggs and pour over the bread mixture, then add sugar.
At the end mix in the drained sour cherries. Put the mixture into a buttered baking dish and place in the oven.
Bake at 160 °C top/bottom heat for about 1 hour. The bread meal goes well with vanilla sauce
