First, peel and finely chop the onion and fry briefly in hot fat. Chop the parsley as well.
Make a loose dough from dumpling bread, milk, eggs, the roasted onion, parsley, nutmeg, pepper and salt and let it rest a bit.
Wrap in foil and cook in a perforated dish in a steamer for about 25-30 minutes.
Serve the napkin dumplings as desired as a side dish.
