Prepare a soft yeast dough from yeast, flour, spices, light butter and eggs. Finally, fold in chopped almonds, raisins or apples cut into small cubes, if desired. Heat a small amount of clarified butter in each of the cavities of a pan, place a heaping teaspoon of dough in each and bake on a medium gas flame until golden brown on both sides. Turn the finished pastry on the spot in sugar to the other side and bring to the table while still warm.
Tip: Stock up on a variety of high-quality spices – it pays off!
