The brownies: cream butter and sugar, beat in egg. Stir syrup and flour into the mixture, pour in nuts.
Put the mixture into a 32x22cm baking pan and bake at 170 degrees for about 30-35 minutes. Cool and coat with sugar glaze while still lukewarm. When the cake is completely cooled, cut it into bars. You should keep about 30 bars.
The glaze: bring the powdered sugar, milk and butter to the boil. Remove from heat and mix in the chocolate chips. Stir until they are melted. The glaze is quite thin.
