Make yeast dough from flour, yeast, 2/3 of vanilla sugar, sugar, eggs, melted butter and lukewarm milk, let rise. Put it on the greased baking tray, cover with cherries and pine nuts and sprinkle with the remaining sugar. Bake at 200 °C for about 50 minutes. Sprinkle the hail sugar over the cake while it is still hot. Serve with ice-cold whipped cream.
