Ingredients chilled :
Yogurt, sour cream, a little bit of salt as desired and a few drops of juice of a lemon to sour the ayran in a large enough bowl and stir with a hand mixer while adding the water until creamy (whisking with a whisk also works) Add the water to the maximum amount. Rather less than more, depending on the desired consistency of the Ayran’s, season in between and add more salt, water or lemon as desired.
After the Ayran is nice and creamy distribute evenly in glasses and make sure that all get a little of the foam. Very refreshing on hot days.
Tip: Use a normal or light yogurt as needed!
