For the apple-grain porridge, peel, core and chop the apple and put it in a pot with the five-grain flakes. Cover with water, and bring to a boil.

Add cinnamon, chopped walnuts, salt and coconut blossom syrup and simmer gently for a few minutes. Remove from heat and stir in protein powder.
