For the walnut apples, first prepare the dough.

For the dough, mix all ingredients together well. Roll out thinly and wheel into 6 cm squares.

For the filling, bring the sugar, THEA and water to the boil, pour over the nuts and leave to stand for a few minutes.

Place 1 tsp. of filling in the center of the squares and beat the two opposite tips into the center.

Brush the nuts with yolk and bake on a baking tray covered with parchment paper in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 45 minutes.
