Instructions:

For the house cake, beat 4 yolks, sugar, vanilla sugar and water for about 20 minutes until foamy. Then stir in flour, baking powder and nuts. Finally, add a beaten egg white of 4 egg whites.

Pour the batter into a cake pan and bake at 160° C for about 45 minutes. Then allow to cool.

Cut the cake crosswise, fill with apricot jam and sprinkle with powdered sugar. If desired, the house cake can also be garnished with whipped cream.
