Rinse the apples, cut them into quarters, remove the core and roughly dice the flesh.

Heat the ghee in a large saucepan, add the sugar and spices and fry everything together briefly. Add the apples to the pot and simmer on low heat. Then season with salt to taste.

Variation for spicy apple chutney: add peel, chili peppers, ginger powder and juice of lemons as well as cane sugar.

Tip: Stock up on high-quality spices – it pays off!
