A great cake recipe for any occasion:
Cream butter with sugar and egg yolks, alternately add bread crumbs and red wine, lastly add cinnamon, kirsch and nuts.
Whip egg whites to egg whites and fold in carefully. Rinse the cherries and dab dry. Carefully form into the dough and fold in.
Form the dough into a greased baking dish and bake in a heated oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes, then at 180 degrees for 50 minutes.
Take out and cool.
Serve with: vanilla sauce
