For the buttermilk bread, mix flour, yeast, bread spice mix, sugar and salt. Add buttermilk and water and mix well. The dough should be relatively liquid for a bread dough.
Pour into a loaf pan and let rest, covered, for 45 minutes. Preheat oven to 220°C / top and bottom heat.
Bake bread at 220°C for 5 minutes. Then turn down to 180°C and bake for another 40 minutes.
Before you can remove the bread from the pan, it must have cooled slightly and shrunk a bit. If necessary, use a knife to carefully loosen the buttermilk bread from the walls of the pan.
